DRAFT REGULATIONS: FINANCIAL PROVISION

MacRobert wishes to draw your attention to the following important notice
published on 31 October 2014

The Minister of Environmental Affairs has given notice of her intention to make regulations pertaining to the financial provision for the rehabilitation, closure and post closure of prospecting, exploration, mining or production operations, under sections 44(aG) and (aH) read with sections 24(5)(b)(ix), 24P and 24R of the National Environmental Management Act 107 of 1998, as set out in the Schedule to this Notice.

Members of the public are invited to submit written comments or inputs to the Minister within 30 days of publication of the notice in the Gazette (i.e. on or before 1 December 2014).
